The Lost City Teyuna or (Tehizuna), is an indigenous city built by the Tayronas in the Sierra Nevada, a civilization from which descended the current indigenous communities, Kogui, Wiwa, Arhuacos and Kankuanos that currently dwell and protect the ecosystem and fauna of the Sierra Nevada from Santa Marta.
This ancestral city was built approximately 650 AD and it has a population between 1500 and 2000 Tayrona Indigenous, these last ones had occupied this territory for approximately 500 years, until the time of the Spanish conquest, a cultural event that triggered the extinction and massive era and so, it has such a special and mystical energy which makes this place a magnificent place to purify the spirit and recharge clean energies which helps us to renew our being, through a journey of adventure, and by the hand of our Indigenous Guides, you can visit this magical place in an expedition and on its time of 4 or 5 days depending on your choice and the difficulty of the Trekking (Walking).
During the tour that will take you to The Lost City, the altitude ranges between 900 and 1200 meters above sea level on the north slope, you can appreciate the wonderful richness in fauna and flora of the Sierra Nevada from Santa Marta and thanks to the good knowledge of our Indigenous Guides who preserve their traditions and are bearers of an ancient knowledge which can observe and value nature and its environment in another way.
